NO.

I have to admit i have trouble saying no to people sometimes.

Especially when it comes to work, you know you face all sorts of people - the not so clever, the unreasonable, the 'bodoh-sombong'...etc etc etc

For the last few months i have been in this never ending project. My patience has been spread super-thin. I had to tolerate many people i could hardly resist strangling. But for the sake of work, responsibility, teamwork - i have been (too) accommodating every request, even those stupid unreasonable ones. Even those that things that are not supposed to be my job in the first place. Even those i dont get paid for. I complain of course, i still end up doing them. At times i feel so "used".

Yesterday, i reached my limit. I said No. Plain and simple No. Cannot.

Do i feel bad? Maybe for a split second. Do i feel guilty? Not really.

Does that make me a bad person?

Hi Anne,

Good for you that you are learning to say no to unreasonable things etc. Keep it up... and be strong.

Anyway, when can we have coffee / gossip (opps no.. more like intellectual discussions) again?

Anne..

Selalunya macam tulaaa.. orang yg sentiasa cakap YA nie end up doing everything. Tapi tak pe, take it as a learning experience.. sabar yeaa..

Tapi... tak perlu rasa bersalah kalau sesekali kita cakap TIDAK..

take care.

A'skum kak anne!

Hmm...
I don't think so u're a bad person juz for saying the rite thing tat ur heart feels...
Sometimes people do things over our limit...
At times we still can control & go with the flows but when it overs our limit,do we still need to control & keep quiet?
Hmm...

Salam Anne,

I think saying NO is an acquired talent. Not everyone can say it w/o feeling guilty, or even having 2nd thought about it. It's an acquired talent because you can say it once you *dah makan garam or dah terkena* which leads to *hati kering, xde perasaan*. From there we would know when to say NO and really mean it.

In my workplace, the people who dare to stay NO are ones who work efficiently and effectively. And you can't mess with them. Yang bagusnya, other people respect (afraid?) them for it. Perhaps because they know what's their priorities? I oh so wanna be like u and them.
