My VIP Guest

My nephew wanted to come over. I warned him that his favourite aunty (perasan...hehe) will be

1. starting puasa 6

2. be really busy doing work with Aunty Jill

He promised to put up with anything.

Day 1

After a very late breakfast, he hang out at Starbucks while i work with Jill. I let him have my lappie and let him sit on his own (where i can see him of course!!!).

Its a first for him, hanging out with a laptop....having his hot chocolate - no parents and sisters. He kept his cool, but i'm sure he was super-thrilled inside. He even refused lunch.

5 hours later, dinner - buka puasa for me at Little Penang. He focused on his nasi lemak oblivious to Aunty Baby and Aunty Jill's gossips.

After a hard day's work, dead asleep in front of the TV.

Day 2

On repeat mode. I offered to send him home before i'm off to meet Jill again. He wanted to come along. Half an hour into his online games, the battery needs charging, and his forgetful Aunty Anne left the cable at home.

Not being the favourite aunt for nothing (:-D), i took him to the bookstore just above Starbucks.

A comic book, a hot chocolate and my MP3 player.....he's happy again, and i could get back to work.

I finished my work, treat him to a quick hot dog lunch (rd: Aunty puasa, malas nak masak) and we drove home.

His parents fetch him after office, he was not ready to go but i will be at a client's office the whole day tomorrow- i told him i cant bring him along. I know he understood, but he was not happy to go. He was no trouble at all. So, i told him he can come over again soon.

Note: In case you are wandering why he's not in school, he just finished his UPSR and there's nothing going on in school. So his mom and dad let him have off-days if he doesn't feel like going.

Pop-tarts

Its now 2a.m. and here i am popping jam tarts into my mouth. That is after 4 (hmm...was it 5) choc-oat cookies that my sister in law tapau for me from her open house on Sunday. Dah tido tadi.....and an sms from my sis woke me up. She's worried because my mum tak sihat, and she couldnt even rest because dad is in one the those difficult phases again - not sleeping well, not moving too well independently....and its taken its toll on mum.

Being so far away, there's little i can do but pray...so i woke up and pray...for her health, and dad's, for strength, for all the comforts that only God can give them.

When i finish all my paperwork this week, maybe i can drive home - while the clients decide on the proposals.........i might have a "window" to spend a few days at home and help out.

Still not sleepy, maybe i should get on with some paperwork.

An Afternoon with Halley

Halley ni kawan i yang kerja di Dubai. She's back for raya hols, and we met up before she flies back tonite. She wanted to have noodles at Little Penang, which was closed for a break when we arrived. While waiting for it to open, we had drinks at this cosy place called 'The Apartment" @ The Curve. My cappucinno came with this cute heartshaped foam.

Safe trip back Halley, and thanks for coffee and the makan2....and thanks Jill for making her pay for everything! haha...

Getting back to normal routine.

After raya.....OMG OMG this week i'm being hunted down, there's nowhere to hide...hahaha.

Eid Mubarak

I'm off to my hometown today to spend the rest of the puasa with mum & dad, and of course hari raya.
